Can anthropology be applied to zombies?

Why not?
What kind of questions can we ask about zombie populations?
Where and how will we gather our data?
Will the information we generate be used for good or bad, and who would stand to benefit the most from it?

I have some ideas about how to answer these questions already, but I do not have time at the moment to begin fleshing them out. In the mean time, I would love to hear feedback from others.
